As of January 1, 2015 the Osgoode Village Family Health Organization (OVFHO) will not be accepting phone/fax prescription renewals. Patients are therefore strongly encouraged to see their physician for refills.

Physicians of the Osgoode Village FHO strongly believe that it is important to be assessed in person, periodically to ensure that your medication are working as they should and that any monitoring (blood test, etc) that may be required is completed.

Our staff will do their very best to ensure patients are provided with appointments that are timely to ensure that patients are able to see their family doctor before their medication runs out. Patients are responsible for ensuring that they make an appointment prior to running out of their medication. Please note that your pharmacy may be able to ensure you don’t run out of essential prescriptions while waiting to get an appointment.

Some tips to help you manage your prescriptions:

  • Book a follow-up appointment before you leave your doctor’s office
  • If you did not book a follow up appointment, make sure to call for an appointment 2-3 weeks prior to running out of your medication.
  • Use a calendar to mark the date of when you will run out of your medication to help you remember.
  • Bring all of your medications (vitamins/natural products) to each appointment in order for your physician to be aware of all the medications you are taking.

The Osgoode Village FHO strives to deliver quality primary healthcare to our patients and we truly appreciate your ongoing cooperation in this matter.
